BELLFLOWER, CA - The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly shooting a woman in a bait n' tackle shop in Bellflower, a sheriff's lieutenant said Tuesday.The shooting happened about 11:15 p.m. Monday, at the fishing shop in the 17000 block of Bellflower Boulevard, sheriff's Lt. Eric Lindblom said.The woman was taken to a hospital and remains in serious but stable condition this morning, he said.Suspect Modesto Alcala was behind bars, Lindblom said."He was booked for attempted murder and was being held on $1 million bail," Lindblom said.Lindblom said he didn't know why the shooting took place, "but I believe the two people were in a relationship."--City News Service
