Update at 12:20 p.m. from Citrus Heights Police: One lane of southbound San Juan traffic has been reopened.  SMUD has re-energized the lines and power has been restored to the area including the traffic signal. Posted at noon: Drivers in Citrus Heights should avoid San Juan Avenue, as a portion of the road has been closed after a vehicle hit a Sacramento Municipal Utility District pole.  According to Citrus Heights Police, the accident occurred on San Juan Avenue south of Greenback Lane. An alert went out just before noon Wednesday, Sept. 4. Southbound lanes are closed to traffic on San Juan Avenue from Greenback Lane to Sperry Lane. Northbound traffic is open, according to Citrus Heights Police.  Stay tuned as we find out more information.
