Citrus Heights Man Arrested in Napa, Suspected of DUI
The 24-year-old was involved in a crash Monday morning.

An early-morning crash Monday in Napa sent three people to the hospital, including the driver from Citrus Heights, according to incident summaries from the City of Napa Police Department.
The crash came shortly after 3 a.m. and involved a 24-year-old driver, police said. On Jan. 21, Napa Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of South Coombs Street on a report of suspicious activity. When they arrived, they found three subjects sitting outside their car, which had major body damage.
The driver, 24-year-old Alfonso Santos Gonzales of Citrus Heights, did not appear to have any injuries, but the two passengers suffered injuries. The female passenger had lacerations to her head and was bleeding, police report. The male passenger had injuries to his face and was also bleeding, according to Napa police.

Gonzales had objective signs of intoxication (odor of alcohol, unsteady on his feet, slurred speech). He performed several FST’s and submitted to a PAS (.176/ .176 BAC), Napa police report.
The driver and passengers were all transported to the QVMC by AMR.

Officers located a parked truck down the street which appeared to have been struck by the car.
After he was medically cleared at the hospital, Gonzales was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of DUI, police said.
