In the upcoming weeks, the City of Citrus Heights will be considering the adoption of a new licensing requirement for properties used as a short-term rental.

A short-term rental (STR) is a residential dwelling, or part of, that is rented on a short-term basis (30 days or less).
STRs are commonly found advertised on and rented through on-line platforms such as Airbnb or VRBO.

The new regulations will require the host or property owner of the STR to obtain a business license prior to operation.
At this time there is no action necessary. If the licensing requirement is adopted, this page
