City Launches Business Development Effort
Citrus Heights has created a fund to promote economic development.

The City of Citrus Heights hopes to become more attractive to existing and potential businesses.
They recently launched an economic development support fund with one main goal in mind: To promote business and economic development.
It's a two-part fund, budgeted at $150,000, according to the city.
The first part of the program will "provide grants and sponsorships for events, marketing and promotions, studies to further economic development and other economic development-related activities," according to the city.
The second part of the program will give businesses grants for "façade design assistance, up to a maximum of $10,000 and sign improvements, up to a maximum of $5,000 with a 50% match."
Businesses can apply for the second portion starting July 1. Interested? Contact Devon Rodriguez, Development Specialist, at 916-725-2448 or drodriguez@citrusheights.net.
Mark your calendars also for May 23 when Citrus Heights City Council plans to consider another incentive program called the Development Fund, which they hope will create incentives for developments.
