'Fill the Boot for Burns' Set for Citrus Heights this Weekend
Firefighters will be taking donations to support burn treatment and rehabilitation research.
Local firefighters will be in the Sunrise Mall parking lot this weekend asking for "Fill the Boot for Burns" donations.
The fundraiser will run 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 17 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at the corner of Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights.
Donations will go toward burn treatments like recovering programs, a kids camp for young burn survivors and the new Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp.

A safety fair is also set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with festivities like a helicopter landing, safety demos and family activities.
