Man Allegedly Stole From Music Store Two Days in a Row

Eric Brown, 28, was arrested on May 7 after an anonymous tip.

A man was arrested in Citrus Heights last week on suspicion that he broke into a music store in Arden Arcade, stole several instruments, then came back the next day for more.

Eric Brown, 28, was recognized by a citizen who saw surveillance footage from the business, and now faces felony burglary charges as well as misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer and giving false information to an officer. He also has four arrest warrants from Solano County and one from Santa Cruz County.

Brown, who is also identified as Trevor Cory Brown in county records, is accused of smashing the window of Tim’s Music Store, 2812 Marconi Ave., on May 2. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says several instruments were taken from the business.

“The following day, deputies responded again to the victim business at approximately 10:15 p.m.,” the department said in a press release. “The suspect had smashed a glass window and gained access to the business, again stealing several instruments from the location. Loss was estimated in the tens of thousands of dollars.”

Brown was apprehended on May 7 after a citizen spotted him and recognized him from news coverage of the burglaries, the press release states. His bail is set at $31,000 and he is due in court on May 21.
