Power Outage Closes Downtown Public Counters In Sacramento County

Power has been restored to Sacramento County Office Buildings at 700 H Street and 827 7th Street, and all public counters will open at 1 p.m.

8:30 A.M., Dec. 15
Yesterday a SMUD substation facility sustained significant damage in a fire causing power disruption to a four-block area of downtown, including the Sacramento County Office Buildings at 700 H Street and 827 7th Street. SMUD has indicated these buildings will not have power restoration in time for business operations today.
County operations will continue, but the buildings will be closed. Public counters at those locations will have alternate services/counters available until further notice:
