Who’s Behind Citrus Heights Patch?

Citrus Heights Patch is led by a team of local editors including myself and Joshua Staab.

I got my start in journalism as an intern with Sactown magazine shortly after I graduated from Chico State with a journalism degree. From there I became a reporter for the Roseville Press Tribune and about a year later became the associate editor of The Placer Herald newspaper in Rocklin. For the last year, I’ve been the editor of nearby Roseville Patch.

Josh is a multimedia journalist and graduate of California State University, Sacramento. He has freelanced for a variety of Sacramento-based newspapers and magazines, including Sactown magazine (where he and I worked together), The Folsom Telegraph and The Roseville Press Tribune. He was most recently writing full-time for a healthcare trade publication in the Bay Area. While a student at Sacramento State, he served in many capacities on the college's student-run newspaper, The State Hornet. Josh is currently the editor of the Fair Oaks-Carmichael Patch site.

Josh and I, along with a team of freelancers and other editors, hope to make Citrus Heights Patch the place for local conversation, where you can read about news in your community and much more.
