LA VERNE, CA — The La Verne City Council is hoping to get resident's feedback on its current districting plans.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, and will feature a hearing on the city's districting process, according to the agenda.

City Council representatives are "at large," meaning they are voted into office by the entirety of the city and not a particular portion, according to the city's website.

California election laws require cities to have their councils move to district-based voting, with district boundaries drawn up using the latest census data.

The La Verne City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who does not wish to attend in person can stream the meeting on the city’s website.
