La Verne Man Arrested For Allegedly Shooting His Wife
The shooting occurred on Edminster Drive Monday afternoon.

A La Verne man was charged with attempted murder in the shooting of his wife Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
La Verne Police responded to a shooting at 4309 Edminster Dr at 3 p.m. and discovered Ieleen Banda with two shotgun wounds in the neck and the left shoulder, according to a police written statement.
Her husband Michael Banda was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder. A .22 caliber revolver was recovered at the residence.

The victim was flown to County USC Medical Center where she was treated for non life-threatening wounds.
Her husband will be arraigned at the Pomona Superior Court Wednesday.

Police did not disclose what the motive of the shooting was. The case continues to be under investigation.
