CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA β€” Two arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting of a Concord man last month in Pleasant Hill, police announced Friday.

Pleasant Pill police responded around 1:15 a.m. April 3 to 911 calls of a shooting outside Farringtons' Bar, 1938 Contra Costa Blvd., and found Oscar Laredo-Arellano, 37, of Concord, in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency personnel pronounced Laredo dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed the shooting happened after a dispute started between two groups of people. Witnesses told police the suspect left the scene in a car before officers arrived.

As the investigation ensued, Pleasant Hill detectives worked closely with law enforcement partners throughout the county and state.

Detectives identified Andre Barocio Jr., 34, of Hercules, as the owner of the car. He also matched the description of the shooter, authorities said. Evidence in the investigation indicated Barocio left the state and likely relocated to Mexico following the killing.

Detectives also identified 31-year-old Antioch resident Angelo Delacruz as a suspect.

Delacruz was tracked down and arrested in late April in Douglas County, Nevada. He was extradited from Nevada and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. He has since been charged with assault with a firearm, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

Detectives continued working to determine Barocio’s whereabouts. With the help of federal law enforcement and State Police in Mexicali, Barocio was arrested Monday, May 22, and returned to U.S. law enforcement at the Calexico border crossing in Imperial County.

On Thursday, Barocio arrived at the Martinez Detention Facility. On Friday, the DA's Office charged Barocio with homicide, possession of a firearm by a felony, and a special allegation of personal and intentional discharge of a firearm.

According to jail records, Barocio was being held without bail and Delacruz's bail was set at $500,000.

No additional suspects in the homicide were at-large, Pleasant Hill police said Friday.

"The Pleasant Hill Police Department expresses our deepest condolences to the victim’s family and we thank all members of the community that assisted in this homicide investigation."
