Camera Helps Catch Pair Sought In Organized Retail Thefts: Concord PD
A newly installed Flock camera alerted investigators to a car sought in the investigation, police said.

CONCORD, CA — Two people suspected in a multitude of crimes committed all over the Bay Area were taken into custody Tuesday in Concord thanks to a newly installed Flock camera, police said.
The license plate reader camera alerted a Concord Police Department investigator that a car linked to a felony was in the city of Concord. The car was sought in a CPD investigation for organized retail theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise from local stores, police said.
Officers located the car and arrested both suspects.

"Organized retail theft is a problem which results in the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from our local businesses and this case is just one example of technology assisting us in the apprehension of criminals," the Concord Police Department said.
Police did not disclose details of the investigation nor did they give the suspects' names.
