DA's Office Seeks Public's Help In Legal Action Against Former Campus Supervisor
Christopher Miller was arrested in a recent sting operation and authorities are seeking the public's help in the legal action against him.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Investigators believe there may be more victims of a former employee of Deer Valley High School who was arrested in a sting operation March 16 on suspicion of arranging to engage in sex acts with a minor, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
The investigation into Christopher George Miller, 30, started last school year when he was employed as a campus supervisor at the Antioch school. A parent told school officials Miller was sending inappropriate texts to their child regarding marijuana use at the school, as well as sexually suggestive messages.
The Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force adopted the case about three weeks ago to see if Miller, who no longer worked at the school, would sell marijuana and arrange to meet for sex.

A detective with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office posed as a 13-year-old girl on a chat app that Miller used. At one point while exchanging texts, Miller offered to sell the fictitious teen marijuana — and later the chats became more sexual in nature, the DA's Office said.
It is alleged Miller arranged to meet the teen for sex at a park in Martinez on March 16.

In a sting operation, task force members from the Sheriff’s Office, Concord Police Department, Danville Police Department, Pittsburg Police Department, and the District Attorney’s Office met Miller at the park. As a result, Miller was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession with the intent to sell to a minor and other charges related to contacting and arranging to engage in lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.
Miller was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility and arraigned March 21 on seven felony charges. His preliminary hearing is set for April 3 in Martinez and his bail is set at $730,000.
Senior Task Force Inspector Darryl Holcombe said Miller may have been in contact with other victims. Anyone with information related to Miller's case is asked to contact Holcombe via email at DHolcombe@contracostada.org.
