Coronado High School Gets New Principal

Once a student at Coronado High School, Jennifer Moore has been an assistant principal at the school for the past eight years.

When superintendent Jeffrey FelixΒ announced Friday that Coronado High School principalΒ Karl Mueller would leave the school, Felix also said he asked longtime Islander Jennifer Moore toΒ be the school's new leader.

In an emailΒ Wednesday Felix announced the one-time Coronado High School student will be its new principal.

"I look forward to continued collaboration with Shane Schmeichel, assistant principal and director of CoSA, and our staff and district leadership in sustaining a school community where students are supported in building confidence and pursuing their passions," Moore said in a letter to school staff.

Mueller will officially depart and Moore will start as the school's principal starting July 1. She has been an assistant principal at Coronado High School for the past eight years.
