Monday Essentials: 'Coronado's Holy Grail' On Display

5 things for Coronado residents to know Monday.

1. Thanks to Joe Ditler for sharing photos and info in his Coronado Patch blog of original Coronado deeds and other important documents he calls "Coronado's Holy Grail." The documents are now on display at the library through August. Plots were first sold at auction in 1886. 

2. A public workshop will be held Wednesday to discuss the design of a roundabout at the Pomona/Adella/7th St. intersection. The city plans to spend approximately $1 million to make the temporary roundabout permanent, according to the city's capital improvement project budget.

3. Local artist and author Robert Gerdes will sign copies of his new book The Journey of Ms. Arian O'Brien Thursday at Bay Books on Orange Avenue.

4. Sunday is the last day to view the Kingston Trio exhibit at the Coronado Museum of History and Art before the exhibit goes on tour to other parts of the country.

5. The Coronado Fire Department will hold their annual spaghetti dinner Sunday at the firehouse at 1001 6th St. Proceeds go to benefit The Burn Institute.
