New Parking Meters Accepting Credit Cards in Coronado
The city is testing these new parking meters in a 90-day trial.
On Monday, June 16, the City will be installing 30 new test parking meters. In addition to coins, these meters will accept credit and debit cards and some, equipped with in-ground sensors, will have timers that automatically reset when the vehicle vacates the space.
This will be a 90-day trial, after which, the City Council will decide whether to continue using these meters, or discuss a different strategy.
