Thanksgiving: Not Cooking? Where to Go in Coronado for the Holiday
Several Coronado restaurants will feature turkey dinners this holiday and there are other things to do as well.

Want to take a break from the busy-ness of the holiday? Don't want to slave over a turkey all day?
First of all, there's the VFW meal for people who are away from their loved ones this holiday. The post will offer TV's for football-viewing pleasure and welcome military and their families.

The Hotel del Coronado still has openings at Sheerwater for the holiday. Reservations can be made online. The Crown Room and 1500 Ocean, however, are all booked.
If you want to start early (and have more than turkey to choose from), hit Loews Coronado Bay Resort for a holiday brunch, where big TVs will be set up for sports, and other entertainment will be featured. Mistral also will host a holiday meal with French touches at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Coronado Boathouse 1887 will host a traditional holiday meal with service beginning at 2 p.m.
The Rhinoceros Cafe also has a holiday menu, with an elegant touch – lobster bisque.
Peohe’s will feature a two-course turkey meal from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Il Fornaio has planned a four-course traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Vigilucci’s will prepare a three-course turkey dinner, or for those bored with tradition, a choice of filet, prime rib, lamb or risotto with
butternut squash.

Everyone antsy before the big meal? Take the kids to a renewed holiday tradition – a free community family movie, Arthur Christmas, at the Village Theater, courtesy of the Optimist Club.
Ice skating at the Del begins Wednesday, so if you need to work off post-meal calories or just occupy the family, hit the great outdoors.
