2 Arrested In Fatal South Bay Halloween Weekend Shooting
A GoFundMe established to cover the victim's family's expenses has raised over $25,000 as of Tuesday morning.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Two South Bay men were arrested in connection with a Halloween weekend shooting that left a teenager dead, San José police said.
Edgar Merlo Martinez, 20, and 22-year-old Rodolfo Perez-Damian (both of Sunnyvale) were arrested Wednesday, police said.
They are accused of killing Daniel Arredondo Guizar, a 19-year-old San José resident.

Officers at around 12:45 a.m. Oct. 30 responding to the 500 block of Madera Avenue on the report of a shooting found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound, police said.

The victim succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene after officers administered life-saving aid, police said.
Homicide detectives during their investigation identified Martinez and Perez-Damian as the suspects, police said.
Both suspects were arrested by the SJPD’s Special Operations Officers.
This was the city's 32nd reported homicide of 2022.
