SUNNYVALE, CA — Sunnyvale public safety officers announced Thursday they have arrested three suspects on suspicion of a carjacking at a gas station earlier this month.

The carjacking was reported around 10:15 p.m. on July 11 at the Shell gas station at 1300 Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road, where the victim said he was fueling his car when three suspects approached and demanded the keys while one of them pointed a gun at him, according to the city's Department of Public Safety.

The victim handed over the keys and the trio fled in his car, which was found several days later abandoned in San Jose. Investigators found fingerprints in the car that they tied to two suspects, Michael Davis and a juvenile, public safety officials said.

Investigators served a search warrant last Friday at Davis' home in Santa Clara and found more evidence connecting him and the juvenile to the crime. Both were arrested and Sunnyvale resident Aaron Hernandez was identified as the third alleged carjacker.

On Wednesday afternoon, a SWAT team served a search warrant at Hernandez's home and found a stolen handgun and two replica rifles resembling AR-15s. Hernandez was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of carjacking and weapon offenses.
