Acclaimed Ukrainian Pianist To Perform In Cupertino
The performance is presented by Steinway Society, a Bay Area nonprofit that promotes music education.
CUPERTINO, CA — An acclaimed Ukrainian pianist will perform in the South Bay later this year.
Vadym Kholodenko, a gold medalist in the 2013 Cliburn Competition, is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at De Anza College’s Visual and Performing Art Center (21250 Stevens Creek Blvd.).
The concert is presented by Steinway Society, a Bay Area nonprofit that promotes music education.

Kholodenko was born in Kiev and studied at the Moscow State Conservatoire under the renowned teacher, Professor Vera Gornostaeva. He has performed internationally since he was 13.
In 2013, Kholodenko held a residency at the Mariinsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia, where Valery Gergiev named him Artist of the Month.

He has performed in Europe, China, Israel, Japan, Russia, and the United States.
His 2017 London debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra resulted in an immediate re-invitation.
