Apple Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Claim Of Defective Watches

A Colorado man spearheaded the suit, claiming the watches' screen cracks and shatters, while Apple is aware of the problem.

CUPERTINO, CA -- Apple is staring down a class action lawsuit that accuses the Cupertino company of creating defective watches that shatter, crack and detach, Fortune reported.

A Colorado man seeking $5 million and an admission of guilt from the company that acknowledges a fault in the screen design filed a lawsuit on behalf of himself and others, Fortune added.

The complaint claims that the first-, second-, and third-generation Apple Watches have had the problem since their initial launch in 2015, and Apple has so far not publicly announced the problem.
