Apple Reaches Licensing Settlement With Qualcomm
The Cupertino computer giant ended the long-standing battle with the San Diego firm with an undisclosed payment.

CUPERTINO, CA -- Apple announced Tuesday an agreement to dismiss all litigation associated with a worldwide, long-lasting licensing battle with Qualcomm, the Cupertino company said in a statement.
The settlement includes a payment from Apple to Qualcomm, a telecom company out of San Diego that charges royalties on patents it holds on mobile chips. It's unclear by how much as Apple fails to return any inquiry requests. The companies also have reached a six-year license agreement effective as of April 1 related to chipset supplies, Apple added.
