Beef Patties Sold At Walmart Recalled By Distributor
'Extraneous wood materials' found in "Sam's Choice Black Angus Beef Patties" cause the retailer to pull the product from frozen sections.

WASHINGTON, DC-Beef patties sold at Walmart under the Sam’s Club name are being recalled by the company that produced them.
According to the Department of Agriculture, the beef patties being pulled from shelves are:

- 2-lb. boxes containing 6 pieces of “Sam’s Choice Black Angus Beef Patties with 19% Vidalia ® Onion.”
- Use By dates 05/17/2016; 05/29/2016; and 06/06/2016
The Huisken Meat Company, a Sauk Rapids, Minn. processor, is recalling the meat because the patties may be contaminated with ‘extraneous wood materials,’ according to the release.
The USDA say consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Approximately 89,568 pounds of beef products are being recalled, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
