Bomb-Making Operation Discovered In San Jose Business: Police

SAN JOSE, CA — A man is charged after police found more than 100 pounds of explosives and bomb-making materials at his home and at a San Jose business, according to police.

Adam Mirassou, 48, of San Jose, faces a charge of felony reckless possession of destructive devices and precursor materials, police said.

Officers responded shortly after 4 a.m. Monday to a reported commercial burglary in the 1200 block of Old Bayshore Highway and found what appeared to be a bomb-making operation, according to police, who said Mirassou was identified as the primary suspect.

Searches of Mirassou’s home and business revealed over 100 pounds of explosive-making materials, assembly equipment and completed bombs, police said. Mirassou was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail, according to police.
