CACCC Celebrates 20 Years of Service, Hosts Virtual Professional Healthcare Forum, Friday, August 15, 1-3pm
Features keynote speaker Esther Luo, MD, internal and palliative medicine of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara
The Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC) hosts virtual Professional Healthcare Forum, featuring Kaiser Permanente’s palliative medicine and internist Esther Luo, MD, as the keynote speaker on Friday, August 15 from 1-3pm. Dr. Luo will present Caring Through the Continuum: Integrating Palliative Principles in Stroke Care for Chinese American Patients and share her insights and perspectives on how healthcare providers communicate with stroke caregivers across the continuum of care.
Attendees will also hear from a panel of speakers that includes a nurse practitioner and social worker Mindy Wen, NP, MSW of Alameda Hospital and UCSF Medical Center; a family caregiver and volunteer Tenny Tsai, and a chaplain Ven. Zhiyun Cai, PhD, BCC-PCHAC of Stanford Health Care. The panel will join Dr. Luo during the Q&A session of the program, which will be facilitated by CACCC Board Co-Chair, geriatrician Emiley Chang, MD, MPH of Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
