Cupertino Students Invited To Apply For Local $20K Scholarship
The Empower Silicon Valley Youth Short-Film Competition opens Mar. 10 and is open to high school students in Silicon Valley.
CUPERTINO, CA — Cupertino high school students are invited to apply for $20,000 in scholarships through Silicon Valley Clean Energy’s short-film competition.
The Empower Silicon Valley Youth Short-Film Competition invites local youth to explore a climate-friendly, clean energy world.
There are four scholarships at $3,000 for the energy impact, energy innovation, creative presentation and community enthusiasm. Four more scholarships at $2,000 will be awarded to honorable mention submissions.

Students may participate as an individual or part of a team of up to four people. They also must live or attend a school in the Silicon Valley Clean Energy service area: Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, or unincorporated Santa Clara County communities.
The competition runs from March 10 to May 2, and begins with a kickoff webinar.
