Former Santa Clara, Sunnyvale Resident Arrested On 6 Counts Of Child Molestation

On Wednesday, a 64-year-old Roseville man who lived in the south Bay Area for nearly 10 years was arrested on 6 counts of child molestation.

SUNNYVALE - Detectives with Sunnyvale's Department of Public Safety have arrested a former Sunnyvale and Santa Clara resident and charged him with multiple counts of child molestation, according to officials.

64 year-old James McNealy Carroll, a current resident of Roseville, was taken into custody Wednesday on a $500,000 felony arrest warrant for six counts of child molestation.

According to DPS officials, the incidents reportedly occurred from the late 1980s through 1997 while Carroll lived in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.

Authorities say Carroll is currently employed as a teacher for Horizon Charter Schools in Placer County, and is reported to be active in youth ministries.

James McNealy Carroll was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

Sunnvale DPS investigators were assisted by Roseville Police in the apprehension.
