Great Schools Week Spending Supports CUSD Schools

From Oct. 1 to Oct. 5 participating local businesses give a portion of sales to Cupertino Union School District schools.

Eating out, buying plants and garden supplies, and munching on popcorn while you watch a movie on the big screen will all help support Cupertino schools this week.

It’s Great Schools Week until Oct. 5 and participating businesses in Cupertino, Los Altos, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Campbell and Saratoga are giving back a percentage of sales to Cupertino Union School District schools.

Organized by Cupertino Education Endowment Fund, Great Schools Week enlists local businesses to donate a portion of their proceeds to the district.

More than 70 businesses participate on one or more days. A few examples include 50 percent back to CUSD at Fast Pizza Delivery at 1554 S. De Anza Blvd. every day until Friday; 15 percent back at Chevy’s Fresh Mex at the Mountain View and Westgate Mall locations each day this week; and five percent back all sales at Yamagami’s Nursery.
