October is breast cancer awareness month and every year Fish Window Cleaning, a national window cleaning company with a location right here in Silicon Valley, donates a free cleaning to a woman who is currently battling cancer or is a survivor.
This is all part of a nationwide initiative to raise awareness for a disease that affects thousands of families every year and to encourage women to get a yearly screening.

This year, Cici Polk, owner of the local Fish Window Cleaning, chose to honor Lynn DiSalvi, a survivor from San Jose.
“I have personally known several people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and I am happy to give back,” said Polk.

Polk’s team spent more than an hour cleaning the windows of DiSalvi’s home, leaving them sparkling and ready for the fall season!
“She was very appreciative and even tipped my crew, which was very kind,” said Polk. “This feels so much more special than just donating money. I had a chance to chat with Lynn and her husband and they are very warm people. It felt good to be able to help them.”
Fish Window Cleaning is proud to serve multiple cities in the area including Santa Clara and Cupertino. They take great pride in being a part of the community and helping others.
