Over 5K PG&E Customers Affected By Power Shutoff In Santa Clara Area
PG&E warned last week that up to 28,000 customers across several counties might need to have their power shut off for safety reasons.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — More than 5,000 PG&E customers in Santa Clara County have no power Sunday afternoon due to a Public Safety Power Shutdown, according to the utility's website.
Power is off for 5,882 PG&E customers, according to the PG&E Outage Map as of 1:30 p.m. The map is at https://pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/outage-tools/outage-map/.
PG&E warned last week that up to 28,000 customers across several counties might need to have their power shut off for safety reasons because of dry and windy weather conditions that pose a risk of sparking and spreading wildfires.
