Rescued Ducklings Retrieved From Santa Clara Expressway
Who says community services officers must only respond to human needs? CSO Chris Clay came to the rescue of some stranded ducklings.

SANTA CLARA, CA — It must be spring.
Santa Clara Community Service Officer Chris Clay was dispatched to the Lawrence Expressway to safely retrieve ducklings that wandered onto the roadway, the police department reported Friday.
Clay responded and managed to catch the young family along the center divider. They have found safe haven in the Silicon Valley Animal Control, which in turn may send them to the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley in San Jose.
