San Jose Man Killed In Watsonville Motorcycle Crash
A man who allegedly sped away from an officer on state Highway 1 in a stolen motorcycle was killed in a collision with a SUV in Watsonville.

WATSONVILLE - A man who allegedly sped away from an officer on state Highway 1 in a stolen motorcycle was killed in a collision with a SUV in Watsonville on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He was identified Monday as 30-year-old Josue Cuello of San Jose, according to the Santa Cruz County coroner's office.
At about 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Cuello was driving a red 2007 Suzuki motorcycle on southbound Highway 1 and didn't yield for a CHP officer, CHP officials said.

He took the Airport Boulevard exit and drove east toward Loma Prieta Avenue, where he ran a red light and collided with a 2008 GMC making a left turn, according to the CHP.
The impact of the collision forced Cuello into the air and he landed on the road's shoulder.

Emergency crews pronounced Cuello dead at the scene, according to the CHP.
The GMC driver, a 37-year-old Watsonville man, and his four passengers were not injured, according to the CHP.
Investigators later learned the motorcycle was stolen from Sunnyvale, CHP officials said.
It does not appear impaired driving was a factor in the case, according to the CHP.
