Santa Clara Sewer Line Work To Close Off Lafayette St.

Crews are replacing the main sewer line on Lafayette St. between SR-237 and Calle De Luna from Tuesday through Friday.

SANTA CLARA, CA — Public works crews will begin working on the replacement of the existing 42-inch sewer main lane on Lafayette Street between State Route 237 and Calle De Luna on Tuesday evening.

Lafayette Street's southbound lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. until Friday morning.

Traffic on southbound Lafayette Street will be detoured. Patrons of businesses on the street may enter through either Great America Way or Tasman Drive.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., one southbound lane will be reopened with a temporary speed limit of 35 mph. One northbound lane on the street will remain open at all times.
