Santa Clara Students Take 1st In Personal Finance Competition
A team from Adrian Wilcox High School earned the top prize in a nationwide contest focused on financial skills.

SANTA CLARA, CA — Students from Adrian Wilcox High School in Santa Clara recently claimed the top spot in a nationwide personal finance competition. Hosted by the Council for Economic Education, the competition challenges students to prove their understanding of personal finance, financial stability and economic mobility.
"Understanding the basics of personal fiance unlocks a wealth of opportunities for life," said Nan Morrison, the CEE's CEO. "We congratulate this year's NPFC championship teams and all the students, teachers and CEE affiliates who bring these essential skills to life in the competitions and in classrooms."
The championship followed a series of competitions on the state and national level, with the Adrian Wilcox team taking home the gold. Students from Alabama, Arkansas and Kansas rounded out the runners-up, and each winning student earned a cash prize.

Coached by Anthony Raffetto, Santa Clara's winning team included students Manish Mothi, Joshua Craig, Diane Shih, and Chloe Michel.
