Santa Clara Valley Water District Launches Search for a New CEO

After having the position vacant for a year, the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board of Directors is seeking new CEO/general manager.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- More than a year after it parted ways with the previous person to hold the position, the board of Silicon Valley's largest water district is opening the search for a new permanent CEO and general manager.

The Santa Clara Valley Water District Board of Directors said Feb. 17 that it has launched a formal executive search for a new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. The person would replace ex-CEO/GM Beau Goldie, who resigned under pressure in January 2016 amid allegations of rules violations and conflicts of interest.

The board said it has hired Los Angeles-based global executive recruitment firm Korn Ferry to manage and conduct a national search to include both internal and external candidates. The also said it has been working with Korn Ferry to develop a position specification. The position specification could be found by clicking here or visiting www.ekornferry.com and searching for opportunity code LE215.
