Second Public Hearing Set On Foothill-De Anza Redistricting
Two maps are being considered for the new boundaries out of the three that were presented at the first public hearing Dec. 10.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The second of two public hearings on the new draft boundaries for the Foothill-De Anza Community College District is set for Monday.
Two maps are being considered for the new boundaries out of the three that were presented at the first public hearing Dec. 10 — Draft Map A and Draft Map C. The district’s Board of Trustees voted 4-1 to narrow the options.
Draft Map A follows cities boundaries while Draft Map C priorities school boundaries.

The Foothill-De Anza Community College District stretches from Palo Alto to San Jose.
Draft boundary maps were posted for review and comment by community members on the district's website. The draft maps, based on 2020 U.S. Census data, indicate how local communities in the district could be divided into five areas of roughly equal population as the district shifts from at-large to trustee area elections.
