South Bay Woman Fatally Struck By Commuter Train
A woman who was hit and killed by a commuter train in Santa Clara has been identified as 53-year-old Desiree Pagacian.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- A woman who was hit and killed by a commuter train in Santa Clara earlier this week was identified on Friday by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 53-year-old Desiree Pagacian.
Pagacian was hit at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 between the Santa Clara station and the Lawrence station in Sunnyvale. Caltrain reported the strike at 7:16 p.m. on Twitter.
Officials were unsure of Pagacian's city of residence and only had a Palo Alto post office box address for her.

About 300 passengers were on board train No. 380 at the time, but no injuries were reported among those on board.
The fatality was Caltrain's second of the year, following a Feb. 13 collision in Redwood City that authorities say was likely a suicide.
