90 pounds of stolen copper tubing, 22 grams of cocaine, stolen mail recovered; Sunnyvale officers were busy this week.

Thursday May 26
Residential Burglary – 1500 Blk. Kennewick

Time: 5/25 1545 – 5/26 0020
An unknown suspect entered the residence by breaking the glass of a rear sliding glass door and stole jewelry, coins, and an antique firearm.

Commercial Fire – 400 Blk. E. Hendy
Time: 1126
DPS Fire personnel responded on a report of an equipment fire. Upon arrival crews located a large piece of electrical equipment, located on the exterior of the business, on fire. The fire was extinguished and did not spread to the building.
Friday May 27
Warrant Arrest/Possession of Stolen Property – 300 Blk. W. El Camino
Time: 0953
Officers located a subject seated in a vehicle in a commercial parking lot. The subject had a felony warrant for his arrest. The owner of the vehicle was located inside of a nearby business. Inside the vehicle was property stolen in an auto burglary that occurred earlier in the morning in the 1200 Blk. E. Arques. Both subjects were arrested and booked into County Jail.
Saturday May 28
Commercial Burglary – 1300 Blk. Chesapeake Ter.
Time: 0351
An unknown suspect used a rock to break out a glass window and stole various items.
Possession of Drugs for Sale – 1000 Blk. Stewart
Time: 1541
An officer located a vehicle in a hotel parking lot and contacted the two occupants. It was determined one of the subjects had outstanding drug-related warrants and the other subject was in possession of 22 grams of cocaine. Both subjects were arrested and booked into County Jail.
Brandishing & DUI – 200 Blk. Del Norte
Time: 2052
The victim reported that the suspect drove by him and brandished a handgun at the victim. It was determined this was a gang related incident. The suspect was located in the area and stopped. It was also determined the suspect was DUI. The suspect was arrested and booked into County Jail.
Sunday May 29
Possession of Drugs & Mail Theft – Maude & Roosevelt
Time: 0906
An officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and determined to also be in possession of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous pieces of mail not belonging to the subject. The US Postal Service Inspectors were contacted and will be conducting an investigation into the mail theft. The subject was booked into County Jail.
Monday May 30
Commercial Burglary – 1300 Blk. Crossman
Time: Unk.
An unknown suspect broke a large glass window and stole tools and several laptops.
Residential Burglary – 700 Blk. Harking
Time: 5/26 1900 – 5/30 1900
An unknown suspect entered the residence by breaking out a rear sliding glass door. It is unknown what, if anything, was stolen.
Robbery & Aggravated Assault – 500 Blk. N. Fair Oaks
Time: 2246
The victim was in a park when the two suspects approached him and assaulted him the pieces of wood. The suspects then stole the victim’s bicycle and other belongings. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the assault. The two suspects were identified and located. Both were arrested and booked into County Jail.
Possession of Stolen Property & Possession of Drugs – 900 Blk. De Guigne
Time: 2348
The suspect was stopped while riding a bicycle. It was determined the suspect was in possession of 90 pounds of copper piping that was stolen from a construction site. The suspect was also in possession of drugs. The suspect was arrested.
