Tai Ji Men Cupertino Academy Celebrates 24th Anniversary

"Forever Young" Ignites Health, Joy, and Hope for a Brighter Tomorrow

The Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Cupertino will celebrate its 24th anniversary with a themed event titled "Forever Young" on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the academy (10590 S. De Anza Blvd., Cupertino, CA 95014). This special celebration will feature cultural performances, wellness sharing, and the promotion of the ideals behind the International Day of Hope. Community members are warmly invited to join and recharge their lives with the positive energy of health and hope.

The event will also introduce the International Day of Hope, which was officially adopted by the United Nations on March 4, 2025, during its 79th General Assembly. Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren (grandmaster) of Tai Ji Men and President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), has led volunteers to 113 nations to promote a culture of peace rooted in love and conscience. With joint efforts from nations around the world, the Permanent Mission of Kiribati to the UN initiated the proposal, co-sponsored by 23 other member states, and it was successfully adopted with the support of 161 member states. This historic resolution affirms that, even amidst a world full of challenges, humanity continues to hold a bright vision of hope for the future.

Since its establishment in 2001, Tai Ji Men Academy in Cupertino has been deeply rooted in the community for 24 years, dedicated to promoting qigong for wellness, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the ideals of global peace. It has helped nurture countless individuals in achieving balance of body and mind and becoming positive forces in society.

The anniversary program will be rich and meaningful, featuring a lantern dance symbolizing light and wholeness - sharing joy and hope; martial arts demonstrations showcasing health and vitality as the foundation of a happy life; and a sign language and choral performance of the song “Love and Peace,” expressing the belief that love brings hope and positive energy to inspire hearts and minds.

One of the event highlights will be heartfelt testimonials from Tai Ji Men disciples. Jeff Chen, a software engineer, will share how practicing qigong has helped him stay grounded and positive in the fast-evolving AI era—transforming challenges into new opportunities. Yvonne Sze, a tech industry product manager, will reflect on how qigong has enhanced her physical and mental well-being, brought her greater ease in job interviews, and even ushered in a streak of good luck - proving the old saying: “Good qi brings good fortune.” A short film titled “The Powerhouse of Holistic Well-being” will also be screened, offering a concise yet powerful look into how qigong supports the development of body, mind, and spirit.
