Candlelight Vigil for Beating-Victim Mikey Partida Saturday Night in Davis

A vigil will be held Saturday night for Mikey Partida, 32, who was hospitalized with head trauma after an attack last weekend. The vigil will be held in Central Parkat 7 p.m., and attendees are asked to bring a candle. 

Davis Police are investigating as a hate crime. On Thursday, police arrested Clayton Garzon, 19. Witnesses say the suspect repeatedly yelled gay slurs before the beating, which took place outside a party around 3 a.m.
