City-Sponsored Contest Aims to Find Best Images of Davis

The City of Davis has launched a photo contest and you are invited to enter your best images of Davis.

Expanding upon the success of the annual teen contest, we are encouraging anyone ages 6 and up  to share their talents and submit photos showcasing all that is unique and special about the Davis  community.  

Categories: People Portraits • Environment • Community Life Architecture • Black and White

Age Groups: Ages 6-11 • 12-17 • 18+

Accepting Submission: September 1-30, 2013

What makes a photograph a winner? Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment.

Contest entries will be  judged on overall quality, creativity and how well the photograph portrays the City of Davis.

The contest  is open to all photographers. (City employees and their families are not eligible to enter). The contest runs from September 1 through September 30, 2013. Category winners will be announced  in early November 2013 and will be recognized at a City of Davis Council meeting.

All submissions may be used in future City of Davis marketing and promotional materials as well as displayed on the City of  Davis website.
