"For 13 years Common Grounds Coffee has been in its current location in Oak Shade Shopping Center, serving drinks, providing a community space, and paying its rent on time. Yesterday the owners of Common Grounds Coffee, Michelle and Sun, were notified that their lease will end as of April 4, 2013. We, the undersigned, ask that their landlord, Regency Centers, allow Common Grounds Coffee to stay in its present location and continue serving the South Davis community."
Several people have signed the petition as well.
"Common Grounds has been fantastic for the community," wrote Tori Bovard. "The owners have supported MANY local organizations and events. They epitomize what is right in our community. Further, they are one of the only businesses to be successful in that space!"
