UPDATE: Covell & Pole Line Intersection Reopens After Power Line Collapse

UPDATE (4/9): Covell and Pole Line has reopened with no restrictions. 

UPDATE: Police: "PG&E continues to work dilligently to repair damage to a power pole at the intersection of Poleline Rd. and Covell Blvd. Currently, the following traffic restirctions are in place at or near that intersection:

* Northbound Poleline Rd. from Claremont to Covell Blvd. is CLOSED
* Eastbound Covell Blvd. from L St. to Poleline Rd. is CLOSED
* LIMITED traffic is being allowed southbound Poleline Rd. at the intersection
*Westbound Covell Blvd. is OPEN" 

STORY: The Davis Police Department shared the following traffic advisory Monday morning. Check back for updates. 

The intersection of Poleline Rd. and Covell Blvd. is closed in all directions due to emergency electrical line repairs. Traffic in the area will be heavy due to detours around the intersection. The Davis Police Department is encouraging people to avoid the area until the repairs can be completed. We will try and update the closure as we recieve more information.
