The Davis Police Department and Davis Unified School District is teaming up for a special project series The Parent Project.Ā
The goal is to empower parents and transform teens. The course aims to teach parents the following:
ā¢ Learn how to never argue with your child againĀā¢ Prevent or intervene in alcohol or drug useĀ
ā¢ Improve school attendance and performanceĀ
ā¢ Find resources to help your familyĀ
ā¢ Connect with other parents of Davis teensĀ
The 10-Week series starts onĀ Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., atĀ Da Vinci Charter Academy, 1400 E. 8th St.
The project will be taught byĀ Trease Petersen, Davis Police Department Youth Intervention Specialist and Jen McNeil, DJUSD Prevention & Crisis ManagerĀ
