Daytrips for Davisites: Citrus, Sangria & Wine in Winters

Even when there’s nothing in particular going on in Winters, many Davisites spend time there on weekends. Whether it be breakfast at the Putah Creek Café or live music at the Palms, it’s an easy drive (or bike ride) down Highway 128.

This weekend, there’s extra incentive: An AgriTour will will explore not only the quaint downtown, but also the agriculture that surrounds its borders. 

The tour is on Saturday, July 23, starting at 9 am. The cost is $40, but that includes coffee, pastries, lunch and several wine and sangria tastings.

9 am – Steady Eddy’s: Check-in with coffee and pastries.

10-11:30 am – Four Winds Growers tour.

12-1:30 pm – Guided walk through Winters.

1:30 pm – Lunch at Ficelle

After Lunch - Winters Walk: You're free to explore the historic downtown and enjoy these special offerings:

• Turkovich Family Wines: Citrus marmalade, crackers and wine tasting.
• Rootstock Specialty Gifts & Tasting Room: Homemade citrus sangria.
• Berryessa Gap Winery: Citrus TCHO chocolate sampling and wine tasting.
• Cloth Carousel: Display of Citrus Fabrics for tablecloths, runners and quilts.
