Davis Reports Decrease In Violent Crimes, Property Crimes
That's according to a recent FBI report.
Davis police reported 95 violent crimes in 2012. Thatās a decreaseĀ from the 114 violent crimes reported in 2011.
The number of property crimes also slightlyĀ decreased from 1,489 in 2011 to 1,476 last year.
The numbers were released this week by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which reported a nationwide increase of violent crimes and a decrease of property crimes after compiling crime data from 18,000 jurisdictions in 50 states.

TheĀ FBI's Uniform Crime ReportsĀ also included the number of police officers in the nationās police departments.
Davis has 62 sworn police officers.Ā
