Final Shuttle Launch: Two Aggies Have Enjoyed the Ride
Two former Aggies who took part in the shuttle's history.

Four astronauts successfully rocketed into orbit this morning in what will be the final launch of the space shuttle.
Bad weather temporarily threatened to halt the takeoff, but in the end the shuttle took off, with hundreds of thousands of people, including at least one from Davis, on hand.
It will be at least three years (and possibly up to five) before astronauts launch again from U.S. soil, according to the AP.

The UC Davis Egghead blog wrote this morning about two former Aggies who actively took part in the shuttle’s history. They are:
“Steve Robinson, who made four flights in all, and Tracy Caldwell Dyson, who has made two trips into space including a six-month stay on the International Space Station last year.” (Although Caldwell Dyson’s final launch was not a shuttle launch).
