Authorities have placed GPS and SCRAM (to monitor alcohol intake) devises on his ankle.

Accused Davis hate crime suspect, Clayton Garzon, was released on bail Thursday -- one day after his bail was raised from $75,000 to $520,000.
"He has met with probation which will be intensely supervising him," said Yolo Chief Deputy DA Jonathan Raven in an email Thursday. "They have placed GPS and SCRAM (to monitor alcohol intake) devises on his ankle."

Garzon, 20, is the suspect in an incident that took place on March 10 that hospitalized the victim, Mikey Partida, 32. Police are investigating that incident as a hate crime; witnesses say the attacker repeatedly yelled gay slurs.

"We are so pleased that the judge agreed with the prosecution and raised the bail to five hundred and twenty thousand dollars," was written in a post on Mikey's Justice Fund, a Facebook page that aims to raise money for Partida's legal defense. "Mikey also has peace of mind knowing that his attacker will have to stay at least 100 yards away from him."
Garzon was initially bailed out for $75,000, but prosecutors sought to have that raised to $500,000, calling him "an extreme danger to the community," according to the Sacramento Bee.
The defense attorney filed a 20-page motion opposing the bail increase, according to a tweet by Lauren Keene of the Davis Enterprise. It also included letters of support from Garzon's gay uncle, a neighbor and a friend.
Partida was left unconscious and bloodied after an altercation outside a house party early in the morning of March 10. Witnesses say the suspect repeatedly yelled gay slurs before the beating, which took place outside a party around 3 a.m.
Garzon also faces felony allegations for a stabbing in Dixon last year.
