Homeless Sacramento Man Lands Job After Handing Out Resumes

After two years of passing out resumes in front of a store, refusing to take a handout, a the homeless 52-year-old scored a position.

SACRAMENTO, CA- A homeless Sacramento man who spent more than two years sitting in front of a Smart & Final store handing out resumes with a sign that said “need work and food,” finally landed a new job.

NBC News reports, Frederick Callison, 52, spent weekdays sitting on his sleeping bag with proof of his food handler’s license, Social Security Card, ID, and a stack of neatly laid out resumes for more than two years, refusing to take cash handouts.

A shopper by the name of Michael Marteen reportedly stopped by last week and was impressed by Callison’s efforts and helped score Callison a cook’s position in a local restaurant.
